How this SEO localization tool works

Most translation tools turn "Badsanierung" into "bathroom sanitation" because they translate words, not search behavior. Nobody in the US searches for that: Google Ads data puts "bathroom sanitation" at 20 searches a month and "bathroom renovation" at 18,100 (US, via DataForSEO, September 2026). A literal translation kills the page's ranking before it ever goes live.

This tool runs three phases. First, AI extracts the SEO keywords from your source page, only terms with real search intent, no marketing fluff. Second, the keywords get translated AND checked against DataForSEO's live volume data for your target country and language, plus a search for terms natives use instead. Phase three translates the page itself, using the volume-checked keywords as context. The result is a page that reads natively and targets what people in that market actually type into Google.

What you get back

The output is a complete localization pack: target keywords with real monthly search volumes, the top-3 organic titles and snippets in your target market (so you can see how natives phrase them), an SEO-optimized translated title and meta description with pixel-width validation, a suggested URL slug, the translated body content, and a copy-ready hreflang HTML block to paste into both pages. The model is told to keep your H1–H4 levels exactly as they are.

What sets it apart

Weglot, DeepL, Smartcat and ChatGPT translate. None of them check whether the translation matches what people search for. Ahrefs and Semrush run keyword research but don't translate the page. This tool does both in one run and adds the competitor SERP snippets and an hreflang block on top.

FAQ

How is this different from DeepL or Google Translate?+
DeepL and Google Translate translate the text. They don't know what people actually search for in the target market. This tool extracts SEO keywords from your page, translates them, then checks each translation against real DataForSEO search volume. "Badsanierung" becomes "bathroom renovation" (18,100 US searches a month), not "bathroom sanitation" (20), because the tool checks which version people search for.
Does it work for any language pair?+
It covers 63 target countries and 38 target languages. The source language is detected from your content, and you pick target country and language from dropdowns. The DataForSEO volume check uses the country + language combination, so "German in Switzerland" and "German in Germany" return different keyword data.
What does the top-3 competitor SERP feature show?+
After translating your page, the tool fetches the live Google SERP in the target market for your primary translated keyword and pulls the titles and snippets of the top 3 organic results. You see how natives in that market phrase them. Use it to sharpen your own title and meta, or to deliberately stand out from what already ranks.
What does the hreflang HTML generator do?+
After translating, you'll have two URLs (source and target). hreflang link tags tell Google which version to show users in each language or region. The tool generates the exact <link rel="alternate" hreflang="..." href="..." /> block including the x-default fallback. You paste it into the <head> of both pages, because Google ignores hreflang pairs that don't point back at each other.
Is the AI free?+
Yes, 10 localizations per day. Each one makes 3 AI calls (extract keywords, translate keywords, translate content) and a few DataForSEO calls, but only the first AI call counts against the 10. With your own OpenAI key in Settings the AI part is unlimited and you pay OpenAI directly, typically a few cents per page. The DataForSEO calls still run on Lumina's daily allowance.
How long can the source page be?+
The translation step gets the first 8,000 characters of body content, roughly 1,300 English words. Keyword extraction reads the first 3,000. Anything longer is cut off, so split long pillar guides into sections and localize them one at a time.
Does the tool preserve my heading hierarchy?+
It tries hard. If your source has H2 → H3 → H4, the model is instructed to output ## → ### → #### and never demote an H3 to H4. Heading order matters for accessibility and page structure, and machine translation often breaks it. The output isn't checked against the source automatically, so compare the heading list before you publish.
