How this Google ranking checker works

Checking your own rankings in an incognito tab still isn't neutral. Incognito drops your account, not your IP, so Google keeps localising the results to wherever you happen to be sitting. This SERP checker pulls live results through DataForSEO with no personalization at all, so what you read is the organic ranking for the country and language you picked.

How does a SERP checker work?

Behind the scenes there are two ways to build one. Run your own fleet of rotating proxies and headless browsers, which is slow, expensive, and breaks every time Google reshuffles its markup. Or pay an API that already does it. This tool takes the second route and queries DataForSEO's live endpoint, which hands back the SERP as structured JSON instead of HTML somebody has to parse and re-parse after every Google change.
