How this AI humanizer works

Two passes. The first is a free, in-browser scan that detects every AI tell in your text and gives you an AI-likelihood score. The second is an optional AI rewrite that rebuilds the prose so it reads human. You see both versions side by side, and you can copy either one. Most tools skip the first pass and rush to a "rewrite" that strips away the meaning. This one starts with diagnosis, then treats.

Why German is different from English (and most "multilingual" tools fake it)

An English humanizer rule like "remove em-dashes" or "replace leverage with use" doesn't help a German page that has zero em-dashes but ships Inbetriebnahme, Bereitstellung and Optimierung in every paragraph. German AI text has its own catalog of tells: heavy nominalization, Genitiv chains, Bandwurmsätze with four subordinate clauses, Denglisch verbs (implementieren, leveragen, fokussieren), the hedge stack (Es ist wichtig zu beachten, dass…), and rule-of-three triplets like schnell, zuverlässig und skalierbar. This tool was built with the German linguistic feature set from the KONVENS 2024 detection paper plus the DeGPT corpus of 50+ German ChatGPT phrases — not a translated English ruleset.

Three intensity modes

SEO-aware: keywords and entities are preserved

Most humanizers were built for academic submissions and don't care if your target keyword survives the rewrite. This one keeps your keywords verbatim, including capitalization. Brand names, product names, people, and places are auto-detected via capitalization heuristics and preserved. If a keyword has to be repositioned for natural rhythm, it stays in the text — just not in the same sentence. Run the output through Lumina's AI Content Optimizer afterwards to confirm keyword density.

Why this isn't a "bypass GPTZero" tool

Detector bypass is an arms race. Turnitin shipped active humanizer-detection in April 2026, GPTZero pushes a new model every few months, and Originality.ai claims a 4.79% false-positive rate that punishes original human writing as collateral damage. Optimizing for "0% AI" on a specific detector means writing for that detector, not for your reader. This tool optimizes for the human reading experience: natural rhythm, no formulaic transitions, no buzzwords, your voice. If a detector still flags it, the text still reads better — and reading better is what matters for SEO, social shares, email open rates, and the decision a reader makes about whether to keep going.

FAQ

What does an AI humanizer actually do?+
An AI humanizer rewrites AI-generated text so it reads like a human wrote it. This tool first detects the specific words, phrases, and structural tells that mark text as AI-written (over-formal transitions, buzzword verbs, em-dash overuse, uniform paragraph rhythm, the Rule of Three, inline-header lists). Then it rewrites the passage to remove those tells while keeping the meaning, your keywords, and any named entities intact. You see both versions side by side with a per-change explanation.
Why are German AI tells different from English?+
Most humanizers translate English rules through Google Translate and call it multilingual. That misses the patterns that actually mark German AI text: heavy nominalization (Inbetriebnahme, Bereitstellung, Optimierung where verbs would read better), Genitiv chains (die Optimierung der Prozesse der Bereitstellung), Bandwurmsätze with four subordinate clauses, Denglisch verbs (implementieren, leveragen, optimieren, fokussieren), and uniform paragraph rhythm. This tool was built with the German linguistic feature set from the KONVENS 2024 detection paper plus the DeGPT corpus of 50+ German ChatGPT phrases.
Will this bypass GPTZero, Originality.ai, Copyleaks, Turnitin?+
That is not the goal. Detector bypass is an arms race that nobody wins long-term, and Turnitin shipped active humanizer-detection in April 2026. This tool is positioned for SEO and marketing content where AI assistance is part of your normal workflow. The aim is text that reads naturally to a human, preserves your SEO keywords and entities, and matches the voice you want to publish under.
What languages are supported?+
English (full pattern catalog from Lumina's own writing-style rules), German (47-entry tell catalog including hedge stacking, Denglisch verbs, Genitiv chains, nominalization detection, Bandwurmsatz alarm), French (12 entries), Spanish (12 entries), Italian (10 entries). Auto-detect is on by default. The German implementation is the deepest because Lumina's audience is largely DACH and the linguistics research is strongest for German.
Does the tool preserve my SEO keywords and named entities?+
Yes. Paste your target keywords into the Preserve box and the rewrite keeps them verbatim, with original capitalization. Named entities (brand names, product names, people, places) are auto-detected via capitalization heuristics and preserved. This is the SEO-aware angle that academic-focused humanizers ignore.
What are the three rewrite intensity modes?+
Light only fixes the loudest tells (filler openers, buzzword verbs, em-dashes, hedge stacking) and keeps your sentence structure mostly intact. Standard rewrites the prose for natural rhythm, varies paragraph length, breaks Rule-of-Three patterns, and replaces buzzwords. Aggressive rewrites at the structural level — splits Bandwurmsätze, reorders sentences, drops formulaic intros and closes, and writes shorter paragraphs.
Is this tool free? Is there a daily limit?+
The pattern detection (issue scan, score, metrics, issue list) is fully free with no limits — it runs in your browser. The AI rewrite step uses Lumina's daily quota of 10 free credits. Each rewrite costs 1 credit. If you need more, add your own OpenAI API key in Settings — the tool will use your key directly with no markup and no daily limit on your end.
